The Foundation of YCCA
was first announced on March 12, 1997. The basic objective was
to establish a fair and sound conciliation and arbitration system
in Yemen which takes in to consideration a host of factors including
the provision of the law, the contracts concluded between the
litigent parties and the international trade agreements and
adopts a more efficiant management approch featuring among others,
expeditious decision on disputes and strict confidentiality.The
center was the outcome of concerted and concurrent efforts made
by a number of prominent figures in the fields of law and economics
which lasted for a long period of time and yielded a consolidated
regularly frame work for YCCA management. The system was planned
to be credible with adequate capacity to address efficiently
and properly the needs and concerns of various economic sectors
in the Country and to progressively gain confidence and trust.
This approch undoubtedly will boast a greater demand on the
center's service and encourage an incresing number of interest
and entites and individuals to seek in the center a proper,
less costly solution for their disputes.
